 Large Diameter (DN1600~2600) Pipes Hot Mold Centrifugal Machine with Coating Techniques

 

 
 

Hot mold centrifugal machine is composed of 4 basic sections that are cast pouring system, major centrifugal machine, pulling pipe system and pipe mold and hanger of pipes with self-rotating. And assisting facilities includes coat preparing system, coat spraying system, cooling system with water, lubricating system and hydraulic system.  

Comparing hot mold centrifugal machine to metallic mold centrifugal machine cooled by water, there are characteristics as bellow

  • Mold should be pre-heat up to 180~280 before casting

  • Major centrifugal machine doesn't need to move horizontally

  • Either short or long slot for casting iron melt can be used during casting. Foundry ladle moves horizontally on chart.

  • Isolated material (coat material) should be coated on internal wall of mold before casting. Since eutectic cementite in pipes? microstructure will be limited to generate as cooling speed of hot mold is slower than that of metallic mold cooled with water, it only needs low temperature annealing heat treatment. The durability of mold will be as many as 10000 times.

  • Since certain time should be spent for spreading and solidifying of coating material, productivity of hot mold centrifugal machine of single site will be less than that with metallic mold cooled with water. For more productivity, it is possible to enhance productivity by using hot mold centrifugal machine of multi-working sites.

  • Outlooking of external surface of pipes will be worse than that from metallic mold cooled with water.

However hot mold centrifugal machine is widely used since:

  • Much more little cost of machine

  • Energy resources cut down effectively

  • Durability of mold

  • Large size of pipes to be produced
